On his latest track Something Is Wrong, Banner is back to using his rhymes to build a social movement, urging listeners to stop the violence that’s brutally killing our young people (R.I.P. Derrion Albert). Banner spits his world-changing flows over trademark soul production from 9th Wonder and gripping vocals from Lisa Ivey, laying clear the roots of the violence that’s gripping inner-city America: “We started gang banging to protect our self, now it’s power and respect to kill for wealth.” We all know something’s wrong, but no one will say it, except David Banner.

You may also remember the death of Ashely “AJ” Jewell (RHOA Kandi Burruss ex finance). Jewell died Friday Oct 2 after a scuffle at an Atlanta strip club Body Tap. Fredrick Richardson, an employee at the club, has been arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter in Jewell’s death.

Jewell appeared in several episodes of the hit reality show. Here’s one of the last videos recorded with AJ and one of his sons.

The violence must stop!

Tragedy has struck one of the Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kandi Burruss. Her ex-finance Ashley “A.J.” Jewell was killed after a night club brawl at the Body Tap Club in Atlanta.

According to Police, A.J. sufffered a severe head injury during a one on one fight with strip club employee Fredrick Richardson and was taken to Piedmont hospital where he later died.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Fredrick Richardson has been arrested in connection with the death.

Kandi is coping with the death of A.J. She posted a message on her Twitter page expressing how the incident has left her devastated. “I could never in a million years imagine this happening. Please pray for A.J.’s children…that’s who I’m the most concerned for. I’m about to give my swollen eyes some rest now. I just want to say thanks to everyone for their prayers.”
