Regarding the message behind the promo video, A.B.R.A. said:

“In line with the Zimbabwean Indigenous investment programme currently being undertaken, it was ABRA’s initiative to pen the song “Kimberly” by Jusa Dementor in order to positively promote the utilization of our natural resources and to take pride in the face of international laws that want to hinder us from realizing the full potential of our wealth as a nation.”

The media-mogul along with partners AEG and talent agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), have struck a deal with billionaire entrepreneur who owns the NBA champion Dallas Mavericks, Mark Cuban to rebrand Cuban‘s HDNet as AXS TV (pronounced Access) beginning this summer….

As part of the rebrand, the network will cater to pop culture and entertainment enthusiasts rather than the younger, heavily male demographic that HDNet historically has targeted.

Legendary singer Etta James passed away this morning in Riverside, California. She was 73.

A force in the music industry so much so, Beyonce portrayed her in Cadillac Records, a movie about the exciting but turbulent lives of some of America’s musical legends, including Muddy Waters, Leonard Chess, Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Chuck Berry and Etta James. . .

Jon Pareles of The New York Times wrote in 1990 that she [Etta James] had “one of the great voices in American popular music, with a huge range, a multiplicity of tones and vast reserves of volume.”

According to The New York Times, her manager, Lupe De Leon, said that the cause was complications of leukemia. Ms. James, who died at Riverside Community Hospital, had been undergoing treatment for some time for a number of conditions, including leukemia and dementia.

Etta James also lived in Riverside.

Her best known song was the ballad “At Last,” from her debut album of the same name, recorded in 1961, just after she signed with Argo, a subsidiary of Chess Records. Ms. James has received six Grammy Awards during the course of her life…

Estelle Fanta Swaray or simply Estelle has revealed the cover art for her new album ALL OF ME.

The British-born Grammy Award winning R&B singer, songwriter, rapper and record producer *phew* is of Senegalese descent (her momma) and her father is from Grenada.

The album, Estelle‘s  the third album, drops February 28th (Estelle confirmed on Twitter that All of Me will be released on February 28, 2012) and will feature her hit single Break My Heart (Feat. Rick Ross). All of Me will also feature the lead single “Freak” featuring Kardinal Offishall.
