So Palesa Mokubung got her start at STONED CHERRIE, a South African fashion line whose designer I simply adore…Nkhensani Nkosi.

With Nkhensani Nkosi at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week

Saw flicks Palesa’s 2010 SANLAM South Africa collection showing for her MANTSHO line and knew that she had a story to tell on the runway & off! Palesa intensely considers that inspiration is ‘a moment that can revolutionize your perspective and your sense of being.’ For her it is somewhat a light that directs one somewhere, which only the bold hearted follow. It is this ingenuity of ‘the power of creative imagination’ that she believes Alexander McQueen possessed!

Her brand philosophy is simple but profound; influence young Black girls universally, to help them realize they too are capable of achieving great things….♥ it!

    This is hot! African cuts and fabrics influenced the world pre Roman and Roman empire due to the wealth and culture of the region. Now as wealth and culture in the region are coming to prominence, it’s appropriate for their to be high end fashion wear for those who wish to express themselves. Cheers 3 times.
