Mama Jill Scott made an appearance earlier yesterday on the “Today Show” & chatted with hosts, Kathie Lee & Hoda about being mommy to her new baby boy, her new movie Why Did I Get Married Too (which was filmed in the Bahamas on an island called Eleuthera) and her upcoming new album The Light Of The Sun. From the folks over at Dandaro TV, comes this inspirational video on the follow up to Taremeredzwa Mapungwana‘s surgeries. Taremeredzwa or Tare for short, is a brave young woman from the city of Mutare, Zimbabwe who had several surgeries to remove the tumor on her face. In her first public appearance, Tare speaks candidly about her journey to recovery. Despite the facial deformity due to the tumor, Tare spoke from her heart, thanking all those that were instrumental in raising the funds necessary for her surgeries (she had several). Chief amongst them was 2009 CNN Hero (& my heroine), Betty Makoni of the Girl Child Network. Tare comes on at 2:03 if you wanna skip the initial stuff on the video…Check it below!
