According to his website, Idris Elba is no stranger to music. Using the moniker Driis, Idris has produced and performed under various monikers over the years. In 2006 he released the critically acclaimed Big Man EP, followed this with tracks featured on Prom Night & Tyler Perry’s Madea goes to jail soundtrack, and then in 2008 Driis received the ultimate industry co-sign when he was selected out of hundreds to produce the intro for Jay Z’s seminal American Gangster LP.

    Idris has good vocal ability. You can tell he possesses passsion and diversity in his style of music!!! A very strong product conglomerate on this opus. It sounds very reggae-toned and is demostrated as an excellent primer to showcase his diversity as an entertainer, not jus’ eye candy for tha ladies!!! Continued success brotha Alba!!!

    Well said! I was pleasantly surprised to discover Idris’ musical side! Not much of a vocal prowess but he does exude much sexiness & lyrical fire that it is easy to forgive him….me like it alot! Does have some reggea beats on some tracks but otherwise he kept it edgy & current for his fans world wide….
